New Head of Service and Application at EyeC

Hamburg, May 16, 2019. EyeC increases its focus on global services and has given Thomas Albers overall global responsibility of the service department at its headquarters in Hamburg. With its inspection systems, EyeC is the only supplier on the market that ensures the quality of printed products – such as folding cartons, labels, leaflets and flexible packaging - through the entire production process.

In his new position as Head of Service and Application, Thomas Albers brings in about 20 years of experience in the digitization of archive materials. He still draws on his extensive knowledge in the fields of camera technology and the preservation and improvement of digital data. As Field Service Engineer, he established himself as an expert for the offline inspection solutions at EyeC (Proofiler series) since October 2014. In his previous position as deputy service manager, he most recently took over the coordination and prioritization of worldwide service assignments and led inter alia the communication with international customers and distribution partners. In addition to compliance with support and software maintenance contracts, he is now responsible for the quality of service assignments and the personnel management of the department.

“The demands for print inspection systems is getting even more complex today which requires flexible service concepts and fast response to customer questions. In order to achieve our high service quality in the following years, we will continue to expand our training concept and, in the future, increase our personnel as well. As a team, we can ensure that EyeC continues to be perceived as a competent provider with a great service mindset on the market.” Thomas Albers concludes.
